EXHIBITION LAUNCH: kaltjinthama/kaltjerrama (Teaching/ Learning)

Watch This Space x Hermannsburg Potters

Join us for a special preview of Kaltjinthama / Kaltjerrama (Teaching / Learning), featuring the exhibition opening and film launch before the public opening. Enjoy food, artist talks, and the first screening of the new animation.
In celebration of NAIDOC Week’s theme The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy, this exhibition honours the intergenerational exchange and ongoing learning at the heart of the Hermannsburg Potters’ practice.
Now elders in their 70s and 80s, the artists continue to learn with openness and curiosity, demonstrating how cultural practice evolves while staying rooted in tradition. Developed through youth workshops and studies at Charles Darwin University, the works reflect this deep commitment to both Kaltjinthama and Kaltjerrama.
Includes the launch of Antala-iperra (Weather) with new voiceover and subtitles in Western Aranda and English, sharing deep knowledge of Country across seasons, animals, plants, and weather.
