Getting to Desert Festival

 

Olive Pink Botanic Garden (OPBG), our main festival hub, is located next to the Todd River, just a 15-minute walk from the CBD. You can also easily reach the gardens by cycling, carpooling, taxi, or public transport.

Free and accessible parking is available at OPBG, with a short, flat walk from the car park to the garden.
 
There are several bus stops bus stops within walking distance to OPBG:
– Bus Route 200, exit Sadadeen
– Bus Route 500, exit Barrett Dv
 
Several places in town offer bike rentals, including e-bikes, for the duration of the festival, such as Outback Cycling
 
Taxis and private car hire services are also available in Mparntwe, however there is no Uber in Alice Springs.
 

GETTING TO MPARNTWE

Flights to Mparntwe are available through Qantas, Virgin and Airnorth from all major cities.
 
A shuttle bus service operates to and from the airport, picking up and dropping off at all regular accommodation locations.

With sunny days and cool evenings, spring is a perfect time to experience the beauty of Mparntwe/Alice Springs. We encourage you to spend some time before or after Desert Festival and visit some of the incredible sites around the region.
