Join Children’s Ground to launch our album of deadly, uplifting Arrernte songs for children: ‘Ampe-mape Alyelheme! (Kids Sing!)’.
The first children’s Arrernte language album of its kind – created by Arrernte artists, families and educators during this International Decade of Indigenous Languages.
Come for a dance and, sing along with us to our versions of Akaperte Pwerlepe (Heads, Shoulders Knees and Toes) and original songs in Arrernte and English.
Ampe-mape Alyelheme! (Kids Sing!) teaches and celebrates Arrernte language and culture through music.
We started this music activity to keep our language strong, and it’s grown into something everybody can enjoy and learn from.
